No. RentMyRV.com provides a planned listing and marketing channel; the number of inquiries and rentals will depend on your RV, market, availability, rates, listing quality, rental terms, and customer demand. Featured exposure does not guarantee results either. Evaluate membership against your own expected rental activity and operating costs. Use any illustrative revenue examples as explanations of the flat-fee model, not as earnings forecasts.
Does 0% commission mean there are no costs?
No. It means RentMyRV.com does not take a percentage-based platform booking commission from each rental. Standard owner membership is $299 per month, with founding prepaid packages at $199 per paid month. Optional visibility upgrades and your own expenses remain separate. Those expenses can include payment processing, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, storage, taxes, and other costs associated with operating or completing a rental.
Can I use my own insurance?
The business model is intended to support more owner choice over appropriate rental insurance arrangements. Your coverage must be suitable for the RV and the rental use; a personal RV policy should not be assumed to cover commercial or peer-to-peer rentals. Confirm the position with the insurer before listing. Final platform requirements, accepted documentation, and any additional available options will be provided before a rental is confirmed.
Can I create and rent out a listing today?
Not yet. The marketplace is still being developed, and the current website collects owner interest rather than providing live listing creation or rental checkout. You can prepare now by gathering accurate specifications, recent photographs, amenities, rental rates, house rules, available dates, and your pickup or delivery details.
What are the founding owner packages?
The three-month package is $597 prepaid for three months. The six-month package is $1,194 for six paid months plus one bonus month, giving seven total months, and includes one additional city listing. The twelve-month package is $2,388 for twelve paid months plus two bonus months, giving fourteen total months, and includes one additional city listing plus three months of featured listing. Each package uses $199 per paid month. Purchase and benefit terms will be confirmed before enrollment.
What is the standard membership after the promotion?
The standard owner membership rate is $299 per month after the applicable promotional period. The prepaid founding offer is intended to reduce the membership cost for early participating owners. Before purchase, the checkout and membership terms must explain the start date, promotional duration, renewal timing, billing authorization, cancellation process, and use of included city or featured benefits. Membership checkout is not currently live.
Can I list on RentMyRV.com and other platforms?
Yes, the intended model gives you another source of visibility while you continue your rental business elsewhere, where your other agreements permit it. Keep calendars and booking commitments current across channels to avoid conflicting reservations. Also review any platform-specific restrictions affecting insurance, communications, pricing, or bookings. The planned owner tools include listing and availability management; exact launch features will be confirmed as access opens.
Can I add cities or purchase featured exposure?
Yes. Optional additional-city exposure and featured placements are part of the planned owner advertising model. Choose cities where you can genuinely offer pickup or delivery. Featured placement pricing may vary by position, city, season, and demand, and placement availability will be limited by the inventory offered. The six- and twelve-month founding packages include one additional city listing; the twelve-month package also includes three featured months. Final upgrade prices and placement terms will be confirmed before purchase.
Who sets the price and prepares the RV?
You are responsible for setting your rental rates and clearly describing your RV, available dates, rental rules, included equipment, pickup or delivery options, and any applicable charges. Prepare the RV for each trip, explain its systems and safety equipment, document the handoff condition, and communicate return requirements. RentMyRV.com’s planned marketplace supports the connection between owners and renters; it does not remove the owner’s responsibilities for the vehicle and rental arrangements.
