RentMyRV.com began with a question: how can RV ownership and travel work better for everyone involved?
Founder Chris Young experienced the realities of RV ownership firsthand—payments, maintenance, insurance concerns, and the cost of renting through commission-based platforms. Those experiences inspired a different approach: a flat owner membership instead of a percentage of each rental.

Our goal is to make it easier to discover an RV, find useful local services, and build stronger connections across the RV community. The owner business model uses a flat membership instead of a percentage-based platform booking commission.
Who founded RentMyRV.com, and why?
Founder Chris Young is a former RV owner who experienced renting through platforms such as RVshare and Outdoorsy. Commission costs, insurance concerns, maintenance expenses, and the realities of owning an RV inspired him to build a different model. RentMyRV.com puts a predictable owner membership at the center of a wider community for rental discovery, RV services, and travel partnerships.
Where is RentMyRV.com based?
RentMyRV.com is based in Orlando, Florida, and operates as an online business. Our vision is to grow across major cities in every state through participating owners, service businesses, and partners. A city page or listing represents an RV location or a business’s genuine service area; it does not mean RentMyRV.com has a physical office in that city.
What makes the business model different?
Owners pay a flat membership rather than a platform booking commission on each rental. The standard owner rate is $299 per month, with founding prepaid packages based on $199 per paid month. Optional visibility upgrades, provider listings, and sponsorships support the wider business model. Owners retain their rental revenue before their own expenses, and renters can connect with the people who own and care for the RVs.
Who can join the community now?
RV owners, renters, and RV service providers can select their category on the current signup form to receive relevant updates. Sponsors and potential partners can email info@rentmyrv.com. The current website introduces the business and collects interest while the marketplace is being developed. Live listing access, booking, payment, and other launch features will be announced as they become available.
