Getting started
What is RentMyRV.com?
RentMyRV.com is an online RV advertising marketplace and service community in development, based in Orlando, Florida, with a nationwide focus. It is being built to connect renters with RV owners and help travelers discover RV service businesses. The planned owner model uses membership fees instead of percentage-based platform booking commission. The current informational site accepts early-access interest; live rental bookings are not open.
About RentMyRV.com · Brand facts and current availabilityWho founded RentMyRV.com?
Chris Young is the founder of RentMyRV.com. His experience as an RV owner and renting out his own RV helped shape the marketplace’s focus on owner costs, renter choice and the wider RV community.
Meet Chris YoungIs RentMyRV.com only for Orlando?
RentMyRV.com started in Orlando and is being built for communities across the United States. Planned national coverage does not mean that RVs or service providers are already available in every city. Local availability will depend on participating owners and businesses when the marketplace opens.
Our marketplace missionCan I book an RV on RentMyRV.com now?
No. The marketplace is still in development, and public RV bookings and payments are not open. You can join the early-access list for updates. Signing up does not reserve an RV or confirm rental availability.
Get renter updatesWhat happens when I join early access?
The current website collects your interest in RentMyRV.com so you can receive relevant updates as the marketplace is built. Joining the list does not create a marketplace account, start a paid membership or make an RV booking.
Join early accessHow do I choose the best RV rental marketplace?
Choose an RV marketplace by comparing actual listings in your destination, total costs, rental terms, support, and the tools you need. Owners should compare membership fees with commission costs at their expected rental volume. Renters should compare suitable vehicles, full trip prices, pickup or delivery, and cancellation terms. There is no single best platform for every trip or business. RentMyRV.com is in development, so compare its planned model separately from services already accepting bookings.
Read our RV rental site comparison guideIs RentMyRV.com an alternative to RVshare and Outdoorsy?
RentMyRV.com is developing an RV advertising marketplace with an owner membership model and zero percentage-based platform booking commission. Owners considering alternatives to RVshare or Outdoorsy should compare total platform costs, actual demand, listing tools, rental responsibilities, and support. RentMyRV.com is currently in development and is not accepting live rental bookings, so its planned model should be evaluated separately from platforms already operating. A membership does not guarantee bookings or greater profit.
Explore the planned owner membershipWhat is peer-to-peer RV rental?
Peer-to-peer RV rental connects a traveler with an RV offered by an individual owner or independent rental operator. Vehicle condition, amenities, rates, availability, and rental rules vary by listing. Review who supplies the RV, who handles the rental agreement and payment, and what support is available. RentMyRV.com is building an advertising and discovery marketplace connecting owners and renters; live bookings are not open.

How will I find an RV rental near me?
The planned marketplace will let you explore RVs by destination and compare the details that fit your trip. When rentals open, check each real listing’s availability, pickup location, delivery options and full price before booking. The current website does not confirm available rentals.
Explore the renter experienceWhat types of RVs is RentMyRV.com being built for?
The marketplace is being developed around Class A motorhomes, Class B camper vans, Class C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels and toy haulers. The types available in a particular area will depend on participating owners and their listings.
How the marketplace will workWill I be able to find a pet-friendly RV or have one delivered?
Pet rules and delivery options will depend on each owner and RV. When rentals open, review the individual listing and confirm restrictions, delivery areas and any additional charges with the owner. These options are not guaranteed for every RV.
What renters should compareWhat should I include when comparing RV rental prices?
Compare the complete trip price for the same dates and a similar RV. Ask about the nightly rate, minimum stay, cleaning, delivery and collection, mileage, generator use, optional equipment, applicable taxes, and protection costs. Check whether a security deposit is refundable and when it is released. A low advertised nightly rate does not establish the lowest total cost. RentMyRV.com does not yet offer live rental quotes.
Learn moreHow do I choose an RV for my first rental trip?
Start with your passenger count, sleeping arrangements, destination, and driving or towing experience. Compare beds rather than relying only on a sleeps number, and check seat belts, dimensions, campground access, and power or water needs. A motorhome is driven; a travel trailer or fifth wheel needs a suitable tow vehicle unless the owner offers delivery. Ask the owner for an orientation and clear operating instructions before departure.
Learn moreWhich RV rental website should I use for travel in the United States?
Start with websites that show real RV availability for your dates and destination. Compare the full trip price, vehicle details, owner communication, cancellation terms, protection requirements, and breakdown support. National branding does not guarantee a suitable RV in every city. RentMyRV.com is preparing a nationwide marketplace, but its current website provides information and early-access updates rather than confirmed rental inventory.

Does zero platform booking commission mean there are no owner costs?
No. The planned owner model uses a membership with zero platform booking commission. Membership and other expenses still apply, such as suitable rental insurance, payment processing, taxes, maintenance and optional services. Rental revenue is not the same as profit.
Explore the owner programHow can I prepare to list my RV?
Gather clear photos, vehicle specifications, amenities, sleeping capacity, availability, rental rules and your proposed rates. Join owner early access for onboarding updates. Preparing this information or joining the list does not activate a listing or paid membership.
Get owner updatesWill RentMyRV.com manage my fleet for me?
No. The planned fleet product is self-service software for operators to manage their own business. You and your team would manage rates, availability, guests, agreements, and rental operations. Fleet tools, website connections, calendar integrations, final pricing, and membership bundling are still being finalized. Preview screens do not confirm that these services are operating or that RentMyRV.com manages vehicles on an owner’s behalf.
When is the planned 60-day free preview expected to begin?
The planned 60-day preview period begins at public launch, not during prelaunch onboarding. Joining the current early-access list does not start that period or authorize automatic charges. Launch timing and final account terms will be confirmed before public enrollment opens.
Follow owner launch updatesCan I list my RV for a flat monthly fee instead of commission?
RentMyRV.com is being built around an owner membership rather than a percentage-based platform booking commission. A fixed membership can make the platform cost easier to budget, but whether it saves money depends on your rental activity and other charges. Paid enrollment is not open. Review the published offer and confirm the vehicles included, term, renewal price, cancellation rules, and optional upgrades before purchasing.
Learn moreHow do I choose an RV rental site that does not charge commission?
Check exactly which charge is waived. Ask whether the owner still pays a subscription, payment-processing fee, listing charge, advertising upgrade, or another transaction cost, and whether renters pay separate fees. Confirm who handles payments, agreements, insurance requirements, and customer support. RentMyRV.com plans zero percentage-based platform booking commission for owners, with membership and other applicable costs remaining separate.
Learn moreHow can I compare a membership fee with rental commission?
Compare both models over the same period using your expected rental revenue. For an illustration only, a $200 monthly membership equals 20% of $1,000 in monthly rental revenue. Above that revenue, the membership would cost less than that hypothetical commission alone; below it, the commission would cost less. These are example figures, not RentMyRV.com pricing or a competitor quote. Add processing, insurance, advertising, and operating costs to both sides before deciding.
Compare commission and membership costs with worked examplesCan RentMyRV.com help RV owners keep more rental revenue?
The planned membership model removes RentMyRV.com’s percentage-based platform booking commission, so the platform would not take that percentage from each rental. That does not guarantee higher profit or more bookings. Your result depends on membership costs, rental demand, rates, operating expenses, and optional advertising. Compare your own numbers and treat rental revenue and take-home profit as different amounts.
Learn moreWho controls RV rental prices, availability, and rules?
Owners are intended to set their own rental rates, available dates, vehicle details, pickup or delivery options, and rental rules, subject to final platform terms. They remain responsible for accurate listings and their rental operations. Listing, calendar, and fleet tools are in development; a preview demonstrates the intended experience rather than confirming that every feature or external connection is live.
Learn moreCan I advertise my RV on more than one rental platform?
Check the terms of each platform and any applicable rental-business agreements before listing across channels. If you use several channels, keep rates, availability, and confirmed reservations accurate to prevent double bookings. Calendar connections can have limitations or update delays. RentMyRV.com’s planned tools and supported integrations will be confirmed before launch; do not assume the preview already synchronizes live bookings.
Learn moreRV services and partners
Will RentMyRV.com help me find RV services near me?
RentMyRV.com is developing a directory for RV repair, mobile technicians, storage, campgrounds, inspections, parts, and other RV-related services. Planned local results will depend on participating businesses and their genuine service areas. Check a provider’s services, hours, travel area, availability, and estimate directly. The current informational website does not dispatch roadside assistance or book service appointments.
Explore RV servicesHow can an RV service business get involved?
RV service businesses can register their interest through the service-provider early-access form. Share accurate business and service-area information when onboarding becomes available. Joining early access does not publish a listing, purchase advertising or guarantee inquiries.
Get provider updatesHow can my business sponsor RentMyRV.com?
Visit the Sponsors & Partners page to explore sponsorship and advertising opportunities and start an inquiry. Availability, deliverables and pricing require a separate agreement. Making an inquiry does not reserve a placement or establish a confirmed partnership.
Explore sponsorship opportunitiesWhat does an RV service-provider listing cost?
The planned base listing price is $49 per selected city per service category. Two cities in one category create two listing selections; two cities in two categories create four. The billing interval, renewal terms, taxes, activation requirements, and optional visibility charges must be confirmed before purchase. Paid provider enrollment is not open, and submitting interest does not publish a business listing.
Learn moreDoes featured placement guarantee leads or exclusive territory?
No. Featured placement is an advertising visibility option, not a promise of inquiries, bookings, sales, or exclusive territory. Results depend on actual marketplace traffic, customer demand, service coverage, and the listing itself. Before buying a placement, confirm its position, city, category, dates, price, and what happens when the term ends.
Learn moreCan a mobile RV business list in multiple cities?
The planned directory supports businesses describing the cities they genuinely serve, including mobile service areas. Select relevant categories and explain travel boundaries, appointment requirements, hours, and any call-out charges. A city listing should not imply a physical office or emergency availability where none exists. Customers should confirm availability and service terms directly with the business.
